The OINP streams are classified as follows:
  • Human Capital Category.
  • Employer Job Offer Category.
  • Business Category.
Human Capital Category-

This stream is consists of five streams divided into two categories:

  • Ontario’s Express Entry streams.
  • International Graduates streams.
·    Ontario’s Express Entry Streams

This stream is aligned with the federal government’s Express Entry selection system. To apply, applicants have to open an active Express Entry profile. The selection process is based on education, skill, experience, language, and other required criteria.

  1. Ontario Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities Stream
  2. Ontario Express Entry: French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.
  3. Ontario Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream.
  • International Graduates Streams

This stream focused on international students who have obtained a master’s or doctoral degree from an eligible university. This stream prioritized individuals who have graduated with a master’s degree or a Ph.D. program from an eligible university.

Employer Job Offer Category

This stream is available for employers who have an eligible job offer in Ontario. It provides foreign workers with a job offer in a skilled occupation in Ontario.

This stream is designed to attract applicants who can implement a new business in Ontario. Successful applicants will obtain a permit letter of agreement.
