It is an economic immigration program that allows people permanent residence in Alberta. To be noted, prospective immigrants must be able to provide for their families. If an individual is selected for the program, he/she can apply for permanent residence status together with their dependent family members. The government authorized the whole process and makes the final decisions.
Before you are applying for the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program, you must check whether you are eligible or not.
- Applicants must have an Express Entry profile.
- At least one year of work experience is required.
- A CRS score is required 300 or above.
- Language score of bands 6 or above in each module.
- Relatives living in Alberta (counted as an advantage, not essential)
- Fresh Job offer (counted as an advantage, not essential)
Valid work permits are based on- Positive Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Prospective applicants must recheck the work experience criteria and eligible job offer criteria before submitting the application.
How to apply-
Applications information must be up to date while waiting for the application to be assessed. After that, you will receive a confirmation email. The AINP will update its internal system with changes, and an AINP program officer will contact you if further information is needed.
Here are the immigration streams that comprise the AINP:
Alberta Opportunity Stream– Prospective Applicants must meet the requirements and eligibility criteria to apply for the provincial nomination. It is obligatory to have an eligible working permit in Alberta to apply for any AINP provincial nomination.
Alberta Express Entry Stream– Candidates who are qualified with an Express Entry Profile are eligible to apply for the nomination program. The governments prioritize those candidates who can contribute to the government’s economic development. They authorize the whole process and selects applicants from the Express Entry System of Canada.
An individual cannot use a nomination under a different AINP stream to apply under the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
- Fraud or misrepresentation in an application, considered as an offense will be banned for up to 5 years from reapplying to the AINP.
- Nomination cannot be extended.
Alberta Self-Employed Farmer Stream– Prospective applicants who have agricultural knowledge, expertise, and the ability to buy and grow a farm are eligible to apply for this program. To be precise, applicants who are related to the agriculture sector and planning to live in Alberta permanently.
Alberta Foreign Graduate Start-up Visa Stream– Foreign graduates from outside of Canada are eligible to apply for this program. It is a great opportunity for foreign graduates to get permanent residence easily if they are considering establishing their start-up business in Albert.
